Alexandra is a barrister admitted in England and Wales. She practised in civil and criminal law for a number of years before joining the UK Government Legal Service. She was a judicial assistant to the Court of Appeal in England for five years, providing research and assistance to the judges of the Civil Division. She then moved to the Department of the Environment, Farming and Rural Affairs where she provided legal advice on the implementation of the Common Agricultural Policy in the UK.
She is a CEDR and family qualified mediator and a former editor of Current Law (a monthly digest of recent leading cases) and Stroud's Judicial Dictionary.
She has been a volunteer and Chair of an NGO in Hong Kong that provides advice and assistance to foreign migrant workers on employment, immigration and other legal issues.
